Making a SAAS
A reflection of my experience from planning to deploying an AI-powered SAAS

About 2 months ago I created Use Pdf AI. An AI-powered PDF chat, where you can ask questions about your document and get back relevant insights.
It took me about 2.5 months from planning all the way to deployment. I've learned quite a lot about the whole process, especially with writing bug-free code.
Some things I learned:
- Using a productivity tool, in this case Asana was incredibly helpful in planning, task management and setting due dates for myself. It gave me a sense of direction, knowing the project is at least going forward
- KEEP TESTING!! Testing the whole website was very important as it ensured I could catch pesky bugs before deployment
- Competition. I probably should have gone with a different idea to create a SAAS with as the AI-PDF space is pretty pack with competitors. To this day, I have not received a single paying customer. But it was an overall enjoyable experience.
